- Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

- Severe mental health issues or challenges, such as hallucinations, severe depression or recent thoughts of suicide
Sometimes improving sleep can help improve depression, anxiety and other conditions. But sometimes such conditions can interfere with being able to follow the best strategies for improving sleep, in which case, it may be best to first get help for the other conditions. It’s not always possible to predict which should come first. If you feel like insomnia is causing much of your other problems, and not the other way around, you might want to give this course a try.
And even if you decide the other issues are a bigger priority, you can still come back to this course later for information regarding strategies for improving sleep. But please know that while an online course may be a helpful supplement, it is not a substitute for one-on-one professional medical or psychological care.
